Description

Facial fat grafting is a procedure to restore facial contours and volume using the body's own fat cells. The procedure involves transferring fat cells from an area where they are in excess to an area where volume is lacking. This process has several advantages compared to using various fillers and implants. The body does not reject the fat tissue; it adapts quickly, and upon completion of the rehabilitation period, it becomes fully functional with its own nerve endings and blood vessels.

The most important causes of facial sagging include:

1. Obesity: Maintaining a healthy weight is best to keep the face firm and free from sagging and premature wrinkles.

2. Being underweight: Specifically, following unhealthy weight loss diets or losing weight too quickly can contribute to sagging.

3. Aging: Age plays a significant role in affecting the skin and causing wrinkles. It's worth noting that skin begins to sag with age. 4. Cosmetics: Using low-quality or cheap cosmetics containing harmful chemicals can negatively impact the face. Therefore, it's recommended to use high-quality cosmetics.

5. Genetics: Genes passed down from parents and grandparents can lead to laxity in the skin layers, resulting in noticeable facial sagging. 6. Psychological Factors: Psychological factors are of paramount importance to skin health, as stress, anxiety, and depression negatively impact the skin's radiance and glow.

7. Unhealthy Diets: A healthy diet is essential for maintaining the radiance and glow of facial skin. Following unhealthy diets negatively affects facial radiance. Therefore, it's important to consume healthy foods that provide the skin with many beneficial nutrients, such as protein, iron, and calcium.

8. Lack of Exercise: Regular exercise significantly tightens the layers of the face.

Before fat grafting, the patient undergoes a standard examination: fluoroscopy, cardiac scan, and provides blood and urine samples.

The fat grafting procedure does not require general anesthesia, and all manipulations are virtually painless, performed under local anesthesia. An area is selected to receive the fat cells, most often the abdomen or thighs. The required amount of fat is extracted using thin cannulas. It is then filtered and injected into the correct area using thin cannulas. The entire procedure takes less than an hour.

There are several types of facelift procedures:

Simple – lower face only. Regular – face and neck. With additions – includes eyelid lift, brow lift, nose lift, and forehead lift. Skin resurfacing and wrinkle fillers can also be combined.

*Initial consultation with the surgeon.

A lab test is necessary. Twelve days before the procedure,

and before your facelift:

-Follow medication instructions. You will receive instructions about which medications to stop taking and when to stop. For example, you will likely be asked to stop any blood thinners or dietary supplements at least two weeks before surgery. Talk to your doctor about which medications to take and adjusting the dosage.

-Wash your face and hair. You will likely be asked to wash your hair and face with an antibacterial soap on the morning of your surgery.

-Avoid eating. You will be asked to avoid eating anything after midnight the night before your facelift. You will be able to drink water and take medications approved by your surgeon.

-Arrange for help during your recovery. If you have your facelift on an outpatient basis, make sure you have someone to drive you home after surgery and stay with you the first night.

The price will be determined after the doctor's examination at the clinic.
