A hernia is a portion of the intestine or fatty tissue protruding through a weak area in the abdominal wall. Most common types:

Inguinal hernia

Avoid lifting heavy objects for two weeks.


Take light walks daily to improve blood circulation.

Take the prescribed pain medication and follow the wound care instructions.
